Hawa Mahal Known as the 'Palace of Winds,' Hawa Mahal is a breathtaking pink sandstone monument in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Commissioned by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799 and crafted by architect Lal Chand Ustad, the five-story palace boasts 953 jharokhas (small windows). These intricately carved windows allowed royal women to watch city life while staying hidden, reflecting the purdah tradition. Jantar Mantar A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Jantar Mantar in Jaipur is one of the largest and best-preserved astronomical observatories in the world. Built in the early 1700s by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, it includes 19 innovative instruments designed to measure time, predict eclipses, and study celestial bodies.
