Description
Discover Jaipur’s iconic landmarks and gain insights into its rich history, culture, and traditions on this guided city tour.
Amber Fort
Your tour begins at Amer (Amber), located 11 kilometers from Jaipur’s center. The Amer Fort showcases a blend of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles, featuring intricate designs, grand courtyards, and detailed frescoes. Perched on a hill, the fort offers panoramic views of Jaipur and the surrounding area.
Panna Meena Ka Kund
This 16th-century stepwell is known for its symmetrical staircase design and geometric patterns. It functioned as both a water reservoir and community space, providing a cool retreat from the heat with its shaded interiors.
Jal Mahal
Also called the Water Palace, Jal Mahal is situated in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. This Rajput-style palace appears to float on the water, creating a distinctive architectural scene set against a tranquil lake.
Royal Gaitor Tombs
The Royal Gaitor Tombs feature elegant cenotaphs (chhatris) honoring Jaipur’s former kings. Located at the foot of Nahargarh Fort, the site offers a peaceful atmosphere reflecting the city’s royal heritage.
Hawa Mahal
The Palace of Winds, built in 1799, is famous for its honeycomb facade. It was designed to allow royal women to observe street life unseen. Hawa Mahal remains one of Jaipur’s most photographed landmarks.
Jantar Mantar
Next to City Palace, Jantar Mantar is a UNESCO World Heritage Site housing 19 astronomical instruments, including the largest stone sundial in the world. It was constructed in the 18th century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II.
City Palace
The tour concludes at City Palace, a vast complex of museums, palaces, and gardens. Built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, it still serves as the residence of Jaipur’s royal family.
