Description

Holi in Jaipur: two days of partying and unique experiences. Explore the pink city at its most colorful and lively. We'll be with you to help you discover its streets, its people, and its traditions while you celebrate one of the happiest festivals in India. Day 1 – The pink city and the fire ritual We'll pick you up at your hotel to start a tour of Jaipur's most iconic places: the fort, palaces, and temples that reflect its architectural splendor. You'll stroll through the traditional bazaars, brimming with fabrics, bracelets, and colorful powders, where you can snag everything you need for the next day's Holi. As evening falls, we'll head to the City Palace area to witness the Holika ritual, one of the festival's most symbolic ceremonies. Around the fire, locals gather with songs and offerings, celebrating the victory of good over evil. It's an intimate moment, full of spirituality and emotion, perfect for experiencing the eve of Holi in an authentic way. Day 2 – Colors, music, and joy In the morning, we'll pick you up again at your hotel to join the Holi celebration like a local. We'll start at a temple dedicated to Shiva, right in the heart of the pink city, where the faithful gather to start playing with colors. From there, we'll join a private local party, surrounded by music, dancing, and laughter. The party will be packed with music, colors, laughter, and dancing, soaking you in the unique energy of Holi. At noon, after all the fun, we'll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading back to the hotel to shower and change clothes. In the afternoon, we'll top off the experience by visiting the Monkey Temple (Galta Ji), a sacred and lively place nestled between hills, where pilgrims bathe and monkeys roam freely between temples and ponds. It's the perfect way to wrap up these two days of excitement, color, and culture.

Includes

Important Information

  • HOLI TIPS Use coconut oil or moisturizer on your face, arms, and legs before heading out – it'll stop the colors from sticking too much. Wear old or white clothes you don't mind staining (the colors may not come off completely). Wear closed shoes or sturdy sandals, not flip-flops, because the floor is usually wet and slippery. If someone insists on throwing color at you and you don't feel comfortable, firmly say 'No, thank you' and walk away. Be respectful in temples or family areas.
